Visit to Morrisons

Helyn joined local Councillor, Chris Towe, on a visit to the new Morrisons' Supermarket store to meet store manager Satnam Leihal.

Speaking afterwards about the visit, Helyn said "I was delighted to visit the new store and meet the store manager Satnam Leihal. He is an enthusiastic and dedicated Morrisons’ man who started off as a salesman and was trained up by the company."

The brand new store is located on the old Yale Factory site and intends to bring a fresh look to Willenhall town centre. Morrisons’ employ 341 people here with over 130 having been previously unemployed, they offer training and opportunities for their staff and over 5000 people applied for a job there according to local Councillor and Council Cabinet Member Chris Towe.

The supermarket lies just above the town centre and Satnam wants to work closely with local business to see improvements come to the area. Satnam was delighted with the response of the public to the new store, and looked forward to closer working relations with the local authorities.
