About Helyn

Helyn says that throughout the last 12 years millions of taxpayers pounds have been spent by the Labour Government without seeing real value for money and much more can be done to improve the services people need in health, education, environment and housing.

Our police service are bogged down in bureaucratic paper work and pointless targets rather than allowing them to do the job they want to do getting out preventing crime and catching the criminals. Our schools are made to spend too much time on exams which could make the Labour Government look good rather than the children they want to educate. Our hospitals seem to have more managers than nurses and targets more about the hospital than the patients they want to care for.

Helyn wants to be part of a parliament that will address the reasons for crime to prevent anti social behaviour. Helping families to stay together, providing a good education to our young people, prospects of good jobs and decent housing and ensuring we all take responsibility for the environment we live in.

She says the Conservative team in Walsall North are listening to what people have to say on the ground - talking to people in Bloxwich, Short Heath, Birchills and Willenhall and the surrounding neighbourhoods and communities, meeting local people in their workplaces – shops, factories and offices, listening to what they have to say and getting something done.

Helyn fervently believes that a difference can be made through politics, has been involved in the party for many years and actively campaigned around the UK on behalf of the Conservatives.

Currently a county councillor, Helyn has been a school governor as well as sitting on the committee of several voluntary organisations.

Helyn is Finance Director of her family company and is married with a grown family and three grandchildren.
